It's a day filled with bike watching and riding fun!

On March 14th, 2009 Portland, Oregon celebrated "The 8th Annual Portland Urban Iditarod" which challenged teams to a pub-crawl around the Portland metro area.

The Portland Urban Iditarod is a race in which teams of people ("dogs") pull shopping carts ("sleds") through a course over four miles through downtown Portland, Oregon.  This race occurs on the first Saturday of March, the same date as the actual Alaskan Iditarod.  Racers wear absurd costumes, including Spanish bullfighter and diaper-wearing astronauts make stops at pubs and bars along the way. As in life, there are no winners or losers in the Portland event, but other cities offer a "Best in Show" prize.

2008's race had over 1,000 participants and required that each team have 5 participants; 1 musher and 4 sled dogs

What the Ho? You better watch out because more than 100 rebellious Santas come to town every year for Portland, Oregon's annual "Santacon" pub crawl.

It all started back in 1994 when several dozen Cheap Suit Santas paid a visit to downtown San Francisco for a night of Kringle Kaos. Things have reached Critical Xmas and Santarchy is now a global phenomenon.
